Secure your Remote Workforce?

Looking to secure your Remote Workforce?

The way we work globally has – in our humble opinion– changed forever. With remote working being forced upon us, organisations have had to react quickly to try and ensure their staff can continue working from home as effectively as they did whilst in the office.

Due to this, we have seen a number of different scenarios over the last few months, from staff carrying their desktops home to utilising their own devices (BYOD – Bring Your Own Device) as well as a huge increase in collaboration tools to keep this remote workforce connected. The adoption of other cloud technologies such as DropBox has also seen a massive surge with a 40% increase in the use of their products.

So – with all of this technology being adopted, this new workforce is now operating effectively from home. The key question is are they secure?

  • Have you allowed your staff to work from their own devices (BYOD)?
  • Are these devices secured and what can they access?
  • Do you have an effective BYOD policy in place?
  • Have you deployed multi-factor authentication?
  • How are you mitigating the risk to your corporate data?
  • Do you have an effective MDM solution to ensure your staff using corporate approved applications to share information / data?

Whilst organisations had to react quickly in order to adapt – we certainly suggest that if you haven’t done so already, reviewing the changes you’ve made during this pandemic and assessing the next steps to take in order to ensure this ‘new’ remote workforce is secured.
