IASME Cyber Baseline

IASME Cyber Baseline has been designed to provide a comprehensive, affordable, and flexible Cyber Security standard for organisations outside of the United Kingdom. Providing Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications, IASME Cyber Baseline is an international cyber security standard developed to help organisations demonstrate alignment with frameworks such as: Cobit & CIS Controls v8.

Cyber Baseline Certification

IASME Cyber Baseline has been designed to provide international organisations with an affordable and achieveable cyber security standard which is internationally recognised.

IASME Cyber Baseline works closely with IASME Cyber Assurance and is a prerequisite to gaining IASME Cyber Assurance certification. IASME Cyber Baseline uses the IASME Cyber Assurance
Themes but is based purely on a core set of technical controls. It has been compiled by SMEs for SMEs, providing a core set of controls designed to protect SMEs from the most common internet threats.

The IASME Cyber Baseline scheme allows every size of organisation in every sector to start their cyber security journey with simple cyber security measures along 9 themes. As organisations increase their
maturity, they may choose to continue devloping their security posture towards the full 13themes of IASME Cyber Assurance.

The standard is available in two levels – 1. A verified assessment and 2. An audited assessment.

For Level 1 – A verified assessment, organisations access a secure portal to answer a set of questions regarding their core technical controls and security. The assessment is marked by Fourtify OR another Certification Body and a pass or fail is returned to the organisation.

For Level 2 – An audited assessment, an assessor from Fourtify conducts an audit of the controls, processes and procedures covered within the standard. To achieve Level 2 certification an organisation must hold a Level 1 certificate.

By achieving this standard, international organisations ensure critical Cyber Security measures are implemented across the 8 themes which cover: Organisation, Assets, Secure Architecture, People, Managing Access, Technical Intrusion, Backup and Restore, Resilience and Business Continuity, Incident Management & Disaster Recovery.
